Pir Saheb Charmonai Expresses Condolences on the Passing of Former Amir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani
The Ameer of Islami Andolan Bangladesh, Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim (Pir Saheb Charmonai), has expressed profound sorrow and heartfelt condolences on the passing of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the former Amir of the State of Qatar and the architect of modern Qatar.
In his condolence message, Pir Saheb Charmonai stated that under Sheikh Hamad’s leadership, Qatar achieved remarkable progress in the economic, social, and cultural spheres, significantly enhancing the country’s standing in the international community. His visionary leadership transformed Qatar into one of the world’s wealthiest and most developed nations. After assuming power in 1995, Sheikh Hamad peacefully transferred authority to his successor in 2013. As a key architect of Qatar’s extraordinary development, he is widely regarded as the founder of modern Qatar. He was also the father of the current Amir of Qatar.
The Ameer of Islami Andolan Bangladesh paid tribute to Sheikh Hamad’s contributions to strengthening Bangladesh-Qatar relations, particularly in expanding overseas employment opportunities for Bangladeshi workers and fostering broader bilateral cooperation.
Pir Saheb Charmonai prayed for the forgiveness and eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed his deepest sympathies to the bereaved family and the people of Qatar during this time of mourning.
